So I started writing my review for The Valley of Amazement and then I did a silly thing: I started reading Memoirs of a Geisha. I couldn’t help it! I am simply dying to see how the Chinese and Japanese cultures differ when it comes to entertainment, the sex industry and the expectations of femininity. I don’t think I can write this review until I finish Memoirs of a Geisha. I will have to do a joint review at the end of all this.
